Zara Bain is a writer, researcher, social justice advocate, and entrepreneur who has been working on improving accessibility for the last thirteen years.
She has a PhD in the philosophy of social justice from the University of Bristol, and has been published in numerous academic journals and edited book collections.
In 2017, Zara founded disabled-led, disabled-majority (and always intersectionally-oriented) transcription and closed captioning social enterprise, Academic Audio Transcription Ltd (AAT).
She lives with her partner and two little boys, and in her spare time can be found walking in the woods, experimenting with new recipes, or volunteering at her local city farm.
This webinar includes the following accessibility measures:
Auto-generated captions via Zoom;
A PowerPoint presentation outlining the 'big picture' of the session, built around standardised accessibility guidelines.
After the session, registered attendees will be sent a closed-captioned recording of the webinar along with a transcript produced and edited by our team of specialist transcribers and editors at Academic Audio Transcription Ltd, and a copy of the PowerPoint in PDF and PPT format.
Closed captions and transcript will be fully edited to ensure accuracy, precision and accessibility.
